The purpose of this study is to examine how internship experiences and career expectations influence student satisfaction with the internship program in the D4 Hospitality Management Program at Padang State University. Issues that arise during the internship program, such as inadequate supervision, inappropriate job placement, an unsupportive work environment, excessive workloads, and a lack of regular evaluation, form the background of this study and may impact students' satisfaction levels. This study employs a quantitative method with an associative causal approach. The sample consists of 132 students selected through purposive sampling. A Likert-scale questionnaire was used to collect data, and SPSS version 27 was used for multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the study findings, internship experience (β = 0.569; sig. 0.000 < 0.05) and career expectations (β = 0.420; sig. 0.001 < 0.05) both significantly and positively influence internship satisfaction. At the same time, both factors showed a significant impact (Fcalc = 31.825 > Ftab = 3.937) with an R² of 0.391, indicating that the two variables explain 39.1% of the variation in internship satisfaction. These results highlight the importance of combining real-world experience with career goals to maximize the benefits of internships and enhance students' readiness for the workforce.
